destination club. A form of fractional ownership similar to a time share. In a destination club, members pay a large initiation fee, which may be fully or partially refundable should they leave the club, and yearly maintenance fees in exchange for the right to spend time at properties owned by the club. The properties range from upscale vacation homes in desirable areas to cabins on cruise ships.
