Define Walk-Up Rate

walk-up rate. The fare or room rate charged to a customer without a reservation who appears at an airline check-in counter or a hotel. Typically, a higher amount than would have otherwise been obtainable, although in the case of hotels the ratebis often negotiable. See also rack rate.
